Taiyuan Zhonghai Uni City is a new shopping center in Taiyuan City developed by China Overseas Land & Investment. With a planned construction area of 300,000 square meters, it aims to fill a gap in the Xishan business district. The shopping center will offer a one-stop shopping experience and focus on humanistic and natural design elements. The site is located near the Xishan Wanbailin Ecological Park and adjacent to the Xishan Mining Bureau, making it a significant intersection between the old and new parts of Taiyuan. Today, Taiyuan has moved away from its traditional reliance on the energy economy of the past century and has focused on environmental improvement, establishing natural parks, and enhancing urban living quality. The birth of Taiyuan Zhonghai Huanyu Uni City represents a vision for the future development of Taiyuan at this transitional point between the old and new. This serves as the inspiration for our design concept.

Our design aims to go beyond the typical shopping center functionality and contribute to Taiyuan's technological ecosystem. Inspired by the rejuvenation of the Fen River, we symbolize the city's transformation and progress towards a sustainable future. This commercial space is themed around the concept of "Roaming River Valley," using the commercial pathways as an abstraction of the Fen River. It establishes distinctive spatial nodes along this "river," such as "River Bay Exploration," "Riverside Vista," and "Starry River Excursion." This design aims to create a new generation of commercial spaces that are immersive, thematic, and technologically interactive, offering people a distinctive commercial experience. Simultaneously, it seeks to inspire people's inner love and longing for nature.

"Social " and "Natural " are two key characteristics we imbue in Taiyuan Central Sea Horizon City. The Social Attribute emphasizes the humanistic aspect of the shopping center, providing a space for emotional connections and leisurely living, beyond just being a place for shopping. The Natural Attribute highlights the spatial design of the shopping center, emphasizing comfort and a sense of intimacy. It aims to make people feel as if they are immersed in nature, experiencing time between conversations and tea as if they were in a natural setting. The design is modern and dynamic, featuring LED lights and interactive technology throughout creating a unique exciting experience.

The commercial space is themed as "Roaming through Valleys," where the commercial pathways abstractly represent the Fen River. Along this "river," we create distinctive thematic spaces such as "River Bay Exploration," "Riverside Contemplation," and "Stargazing on the River." This design approach cultivates an immersive, thematic, and technologically interactive new generation of commercial spaces, offering a unique shopping experience that ignites people's love and longing for nature.
