ZWP participated in a design competition for a mixed-use office complex spanning approximately 400,000 square feet in the vicinity of Downtown Los Angeles. The project, located near Little Tokyo Market Place, faced intricate challenges due to its relationship with the surrounding extensive architecture and civic districts. Our proposed design for the downtown complex involves a 22-story structure comprising a 3-story commercial block and a 19-story office tower. The concept aimed to offer a significant and enduring complement to Downtown Los Angeles, integrating meticulous architectural, site, interior, and urban design to redefine premium commercial office space. Acknowledging the continuous integration of new technologies and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on work environments, the design emphasized comfort and natural surroundings for future office spaces. Through this design, our aim is to create a welcoming work and living environment in Downtown Los Angeles.
