Nanjing Fanyue City Square is a large urban complex located in the Fuzimiao area of Qinhuai District, with a total area of approximately 363,100 square meters. It integrates commercial, office, and hotel-style apartments and is located in the central commercial district of Guloubei. The project implements a new retail strategy by overcoming the limitations of the original structure and highlighting the uniqueness and coherence of the different areas through carefully designed interior landscapes. The design blurs the boundaries between nature, architecture, and interior space, presenting a perfect combination of nature and art in the central atrium, creating a shopping experience that is full of surprises and memories.
During the initial design phase, Nanjing Fanye City Center analyzed the architectural facade and extracted elements to create a combination of box-shaped volumes for the building facade and its intricate details. The skylight design was inspired by the project's location in the "fan-shaped" area, resulting in a skylight design resembling an open fan. Taking cues from the popular trend of "rooftop gardens" in domestic shopping centers, the project also underwent an upgrade for its top floor space. By incorporating lush greenery and introducing diverse businesses, it now offers distinctive and imaginative spaces resembling "sky farms" or "rooftop gardens." These enhancements aim to elevate the overall shopping experience and attract consumers, aligning seamlessly with the current trends in modern shopping center development.
